The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federally funded grant program that provides Youth, Adult, and Dislocated Worker funding throughout our Commonwealth to Local Workforce Development Boards, State Agencies, and Non-Profit 501(c)3 organizations that engage in the required/allowable WIOA activities.
The Governor's Reserve Fund is authorized as part of WIOA in 20 CFR 683.120(b). The goal of the Governor's Reserve Fund is to promote innovative approaches to meeting the goals laid out in the WIOA State Plan and provide a mechanism to allow for statewide initiatives to benefit economic and workforce development in Kentucky.
